There were some very nice designs in this design contest....very creative. I would like to say thank you to everyone who participated, and also those who voted.

The winners of the XtremeMySpace Design Contest '09 are as follows:

There's nothing that I can say to make you two happy, but this contest is as fair as it can get. It was stated in the outline of the contest since it first started that the forum members will vote for their favorite designer. I wouldn't think that it would be fair for me to pick the best one because I would pick from a certain style or type of design. You have to understand that people will be disappointed in any type of contest if they're not the one(s) winning. But like I said before in the shout box....I have checked into all of the votes, and the one vote that was not legitimate was one vote that went to StaT. It came from an account that he created before the voting started. @StaT: That's why one of your votes was taken away, and the other account banned. I don't understand how you can complain about legitimacy when you tried to cheat....

and like i said a week ago, i read the whole thing to late, i told 20zack if iknew it was a forum vote in the beginingi owuldnt have bothered becausei know how that stuff goes, bribes, click glitching and all that, i stopped worring about it really the first 2 days after it started..
and i got a working fbp anyway and thats all i wanted lol.. ide do the art for free just for fun
i just know because i do it, that there is more skill in peoples art that didnt get voted for, but people like the look not the skill

lmfao i know right, i allready posted three links to tuts just like that, its all good , this was a design contest on alook for a program not on skill for graphic design, thats were we messed up, lol, we went for skill not a program design.., well i did on two, then i went for skill lol, those tentacles are not easy lmfao

@20Zack: That alien is not exactly the same. As long as he did not just copy someone else's work, I don't care. All that needed to be done was to design an original patch design. I could give a shit less about the components of the design and where they came from.

and some of ur designs are based on tuts as well thats how we learn.. but i do get were u are coming from but agian its not based on skill, its based on a look that everyone likes, u could win with mspaint if u do it right lol

How will the actual design be chosen? We are just voting on the designers, many have more than one design listed.

dont mean to come off so negative

imo alot of contestants seem to of had issues implementing font--in the field of creativity, half of the people here used an alien design, based soley on putters avatar..

that's cool, but i mean......where is the creativity?

im not ragging on anybody- everyone has there strengths and weaknesses/own style of designing, looks like i may be into a different type of art than everybody else on the board by looking at the votes.

at the end of the day ladies and gentlemen, it has been a good run,

@hhll: I noticed that quite a few people did get their inspiration from my avatar. Just so everyone knows, my avatar has no real significance other than I liked the way it looked when I created this forum. It's cool though. But yea....personally, I like and voted for your design:

That's my favorite. To answer someone else's question about how the winning design will be picked, the first place winner's designs will be used to choose from. I will get together with Deceptive Taco to help me choose.
